PROGRAMS
LKO uses a variety of methodologies, with particular specialism in Theatre of the Oppressed, a theatrical system developed by Brazilian director Augusto Boal.
We work most often with Forum Theatre, inviting audiences to shout “STOP!” and come onstage, replace the actors, and try to change the outcome of the story.

COMMUNITY
PERFORMANCES
Accessible, inclusive, free
A cornerstone of LKO’s approach, performing in community spaces makes theatre accessible to people who face severe barriers to artistic, social and political participation.
Our audiences always include authorities and decision-makers, to foster dialogue across social hierarchies, exchange ideas, work together to find solutions to complex problems.
The best outcome is that people take ideas from the Forum and use them to change their real life.
